Peggy Giles, CCR, LCR - Biography

Peggy has been a freelance reporter in Knoxville, Tennessee since 1976, and is owner of Knoxville Reporting.  Peggy was one of the first graduates of Brown College of Reporting in Atlanta, GA in 1973.  She first worked for Orlando Reporters in Florida for one year, followed by two and a half years as an official reporter in the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit, a five county circuit in North Georgia, based in Canton, GA and working in both civil and criminal courts.  She obtained her Georgia CSR in 1975 after formation of the Georgia Board of Court Reporting.
Since returning home to Knoxville, Peggy has specialized in medical reporting, working for both plaintiff and defense firms in medical malpractice and general litigation.
Before becoming a court reporter, after attending the University of Tennessee, Peggy worked for the FBI and Senator Albert Gore, Sr., on his staff in Washington, D.C.

Serving TCRA, Peggy has been Eastern District Director for three years, a member of the Legislative Committee, and she has been Chairman of the Legislative Committee for the past year.
