At the End of the Day

by Marilyn Rea on February 5, 2010

At the end of the day, it is our experiences with other people that we remember and put a smile on our face. I remember an occasion where the goal of a young lady was to read a story to her child but she could not read. We met every day for an hour and worked our way through “The Lion King.” After many days and weeks, it brought tears to my eyes the day she read not only with no mistakes but with the love that only a mother can convey to her child. We don’t have to necessarily pick something to volunteer through an organized method because life will present the chances for us to make a difference in someone’s life and we never regret when we do so because it is the right thing to do.
