When one walks through the doors of Deli Mexicana, the aroma of Mexican flavors assaults all of your senses immediately! It’s as if the freshness of the ingredients (the bread, tortillas, garlic, onion, cilantro, avocado, etc) are calling to everyone’s refined palate. Patrons in line patiently waiting to order are filled with quiet anticipation of the meal to come. Depending on the time of day, the line to order may be out the door; yet no one really cares about that because they know the goodness that awaits.
Deli Mexicana is my absolute number-one restaurant pick to dine at in Memphis. I moved here a little over eight years ago and discovered this awesome establishment shortly after my arrival. It is definitely not your run-of-the-mill Mexican cuisine. You will find fresh, tasty, and authentic fare here.
Jonathan Magallanes is the owner of Deli Mexicana, but he is more than the owner to me and my family. It is as though we are his guests at his table each and every time we dine at the restaurant.
