This is a quick postscript to my earlier post regarding the restaurant review for Las Tortugas Deli Mexicana. Jonathan’s fresh food is featured in a national magazine, Everyday with Rachael Ray!
There is an article on page 150 of the April 2010 issue about eating great wherever you go while on vacation. Kelly English of Restaurant Iris in Memphis recommends Deli Mexican as his number-one place to eat. He praises the restaurant for their refusal to Americanize their Mexican food, and for the best tamales in town!

I totally agree! Jonathan and Peppy (his dad) are so wonderful. They love to tell you all about their menu and how their dishes are different. Try the seafood soup and have a fresh limeaid. Fantastic! Oh, the corn-on-the-cobb is the best!
I just visited Deli Mexicana last week for a business dinner with my husband. Jonathan was so gracious, as always, and brought us complimentary corn on the cob for our out-of-town guest! Awesome! Try my favorite, the chicken tacos.
