Fundraising Activities

Student Scholarship Fundraiser

 

Our "Back to Basics" seminar in Memphis was a huge success!  Thank you to Riverside Reporting and Omega Reporting for sponsoring this event.

This seminar was anything but basic, however.  Attendance was overwhelming, with a total of 22 registrants.  It was packed with activities, including door prizes, shopping, networking, and flavors with a Mexican flair!

Every registrant had a FREE chance to win door prizes.  The selections included a scarf, handbag (donated by Lisa Blake) two $50 gift certificates towards purchase of the popular Silpada jewelry collection (donated by Cheri Sullivan), and a $50 gift certificate towards purchase of those famous handbags from the Classy Bag Ladies!  The winners of the door prizes were Serena White, Ruby Lindberg, Lynette Mueller, Cheri Sullivan, and Lisa Vaughn.  Congratulations, Ladies!

A special thank you to all those reporters who donated to the Scholarship Fund.  We are proud to report that a total of $415 was contributed by some very generous members.  Serena White, last year's recipient of the TCRA Scholarship Fund, joined us and shared how important the scholarship was to her in furthering her education.

The Scholarship Fund drive isn't over yet -- Lynette is willing to share four of her flavorful and spicy recipes from our "Back to Basics" seminar.

Remember that our students are the future of court reporting and it is up to us to mentor and guide them in their journey toward their ultimate goal of being a court reporter, CART provider, or captioner.
