Find a Reporter

   President's Message
   By Stephanie Branim, TCRA President

It has been an exciting and busy summer for TCRA!  Here are some great highlights:

The TCRA legislative committee attended Governor Lee’s commemorative signing of the bill to increase rates for court reporters in criminal courts.
TCRA hosted the President’s Garden Gala at the NCRA convention in Denver, Colorado and raised over $3,000 for our association.
Reporters from across Tennessee did an amazing job representing our great state in Denver at the convention.
We watched as Max Curry was inducted as NCRA president!
All of this could not have happened without the support and commitment of our board, committees, and association members.  Thank you for everyone’s hard work!!
On another note, this newsletter is bittersweet, as it will be the last article I write as TCRA president.  I have been appointed to serve on the Tennessee licensing board and, in accordance with our bylaws, must step down from a board/committee position.  This will become effective September 26.
However, we have a great team coming in to ensure we have a complete board.  Sarah Motley will move up as president.  Misty Bigham will become President Elect, and Kristin Burke will be Vice President.  I have no doubt that they will do an amazing job leading our association over the remainder of the term.
Thank you for this opportunity to serve our community and profession.  I look forward to seeing what lies ahead for TCRA as the association continues to work hard to represent court reporting across our great state.
